Madren Oluoch-Olunya is a skilled and principled business professional with a wealth of management experience derived over twenty (20) years in the areas of board services, legal and HR practice. Madren’s work experience includes a decade of service in the role of Company Secretary with some of the region’s premier listed companies - East African Breweries Limited and TPS Serena, moulding a skilled individual well versed in global negotiations and international governance practice.
Furthermore, Madren brings a wealth of experience as one of the inaugural recipients in Kenya of the Commonwealth Association of Corporate Governance (CACG)Directors programme and has since become a certified trainer. In addition, Madren has participated in the Board Evaluation training program run by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) equipping her to effectively undertake several board evaluation exercises for various listed companies in the region. She is also an ICS accredited Governance Auditor.
Madren holds a Masters of Law Degree (LL.M.) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) as well as a Certificate in Human Resource Practice (CHRP). She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Certified Public Secretary and fellow member of the Institute of Directors (Kenya).
Madren’s diplomatic and thoughtful nature has deftly supported the key functioning of the multiple institutions she has had the opportunity to serve. With her demonstrated track record in deriving value for organizations as a business executive, she ensures that Azali’s services are in line with current global practice and reflect the institutional ethos of the organizations’ the firm serves.
