Judy Nyaga has over twenty (20) years’ legal and corporate governance experience in the banking industry in Africa and the Middle East. Judy is responsible for driving high standards of corporate governance and the delivery of key deliverables and initiatives across Africa & Middle East in alignment with Standard Chartered Bank Group Corporate Secretariat’s and strategic priorities.
Judy holds an honors degree in Law from University of Nairobi and a post graduate degree in International Commercial Law from University of Nottingham. She also holds an MBA from Strathmore Business School, Nairobi. Judy is a Certified Public Secretary and has passed the examinations required for registration as a Certified Public Accountant. Judy is also a 2015 Eisenhower Fellow.
She currently serves as the Company Secretary, Standard Chartered Bank and has previously worked as Legal Counsel and Company Secretary at Barclays Bank of Kenya Limited. Prior to that, Judy held legal roles in two local banks in Kenya and practiced law with the firm of Walker Kontos Advocates.
